Business Controller

Position description

Our client – in the financial services industry - has a strong corporate culture and strong track record of growth. For our client we are looking for a business controller with a solid RA/CPA (or equivalent) background that will operate within a team of 3-4 controllers. In this position the business controller will directly report to the Director of Business Control. This controller has the ability and ambition in his next step to grow into the position of Director Business Control. Global travelling is required for ths position: max. 30%.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on global business control reviews (internal and operational audits)
• PerformingDue Diligence reviews
• Design and implementation of corporate governance and risk management framework
• Providing management information for improvement of local and corporate internal controls
• Setting up business control procedures

Education & Competences:

• Strong academic history including a degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university and - which is a must - a relevant professional qualification (e.g. RA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)
• 5years+ of proven finance experience with focus on accounting and/or controllership, preferably within an international envrionment
• Solid experience in accounting. Experience with tax compliance & reporting is a strong advantage
• Ability to anticipate, identify and resolve(complex) financial issues
• Excellent analytical skills
• Fluent in English
• Good computer skills (Excel; Hyperion)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Structured, detail-orientated, flexible and conscientious
• Excellent judgment skills

Salary conditions

100k, including benefits (bonus, car etc.)
