The position

A leading global player in the energy storage industry, Advario aims at doubling its business size by 2030, focused on sustainability and clean energy. The Market Intelligence Manager empowers strategic decision-making and drive market leadership through market insights and outlook. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced intelligence or research manager to support the company’s success in the clean energy sector in the years to come.

Tasks & responsibilities

The Deal Execution team, which is part of Advario’s Growth organization reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, is the umbrella team for Advario’s centralized business development activities, and is organized around three teams: pipeline management, financial modelling, and market intelligence. The Market Intelligence Manager is part of the market intelligence team and transforms facts and conclusions into advice and insights for Advario’s business development activities globally. On the one hand, this involves proactively defining and preparing reports/insights targeted to specific audiences within the organization. This means the Market Intelligence Manager is a thought leader, always ahead of the game with an outlook on, for example, shifts in markets/products, regulations, and geo-politics.

On the other hand, the Market Intelligence Manager manages and answers ad-hoc internal requests on markets/products, and supports business development managers as well as commercial managers with input for business cases. This combination implies that the Market Intelligence Manager must have both a hands-on attitude and strong prioritization skills.

The Market Intelligence Manager coordinates data gathering via multiple channels including market studies/reports, subscriptions, conferences, desk research, and own network. Also, the role is responsible for further developing Advario’s market intelligence activities by building an intelligence network internally within Advario and externally with market intelligence/research teams of Advario’s customers aimed at the co-creation and sharing of industry information. The role also involves presenting insights in interactive company events and attending industry conferences and external network events. Therefore, strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally focused, are crucial.

The role of Market Intelligence Manager is based in the headquarters in Rotterdam. At the same time, the company offers significant flexibility in terms of working location (onsite/from home) and working hours.

Candidate profile*

• 5+ years of market/business intelligence or research experience
• Experience in both traditional (oil, gas) and renewable (biofuel) energy
• Fluent in English
