Enreach offers an integrated portfolio of innovative cloud and on-premise PBX (private branch exchange), mobile, fixed telephony, data services, and cloud contact centers to SMEs and enterprises across Europe. Its unified communications products – e.g., cloud contact center solutions and AI-based chat and voice bots – make business technology, connectivity, and productivity integration easy for organizations as they grow.

The current annual revenue of Enreach is about 275 million euros. The company has approximately 1,100 employees and serves 2.4 million users across its key markets, which include The Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, France, Finland, Spain, and the UK. Backed by PE investor Waterland, Enreach has grown considerably over the past five years, organically and through a series of targeted acquisitions.

Enreach has adopted Holacracy, a self-organization method centered around purpose and distributed authority. The resulting agile and role-based organization helps the company create an inspiring, open, and empowering culture that limits bureaucracy and champions entrepreneurship. The scale to which Enreach is practicing Holacracy is unseen in Europe.

The position

Enreach is a young and fast-growing company providing market-leading contact technology and integrated telecom services. The CHRO will get the opportunity to lead and professionalize all HR activities, including the optimization of Holacracy: Enreach’s unique way of working centered around self-organization, an unprecedented approach for a company this size.

Tasks & responsibilities

The CHRO is responsible for Enreach’s full HR scope, including Holacracy. With about seventeen acquisitions in the last five years, the CHRO will drive the organizational integration, professionalize and harmonize the HR function (including going to one HR system landscape), and optimize self-organization, leading to a unified Enreach culture and way of working. They will become part of the Management Team, report directly to the CEO, and lead the HR and Self-Organization teams. The direct reports will include the Heads of Learning, Recruitment, HR Operations, the Group HR Business Partners, and the lead for Self-Organization. Striking the right balance between strategically preparing the company for further growth and ensuring smooth HR operations today is just one of the exciting challenges the CHRO will face.

Driving the full roll-out, adoption, and continuous improvement of Holacracy will be one of the CHRO’s primary responsibilities. Most of Enreach’s teams already operate according to the principles of Holacracy. The CHRO will continue the implementation, spreading the approach to all corners of the organization, including newly acquired companies, and together with the Self-Organization team and with the sponsorship of the CEO, lead this unique way of working.

The CHRO will oversee all HR-related processes and ensure alignment with Enreach’s Holacracy approach and the overall business strategy. They will lead, e.g., recruitment, onboarding, retention, learning, goal setting (OKRs), employee engagement, performance management (including peer feedback and coaching), reward policies, team building, organizational development, and the promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The CHRO will also use data-driven insights to track HR effectiveness and leverage technology to improve its processes. Additionally, they will build, lead, develop, and inspire their teams and drive culture change.

  • Over 15 years of work experience in HR
  • Background in professionalizing an international scale-up
  • Experience in a technical environment
