Reprints Desk was founded in 2006 by President and CEO Peter Derycz, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Research Solutions, Inc. (RSSS). Article Galaxy, Reprints Desk’s powerful research intelligence platform, combines the company’s proven capability for on-demand scholarly article delivery with personal augmentation of scientific data and research efficiency tools, powered by an ecosystem of gadgets. Reprints Desk sells and supports Article Galaxy, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) research platform, Article Galaxy add-on Bibliogo, and OpenAthens from Eduserv.

The position

Sell a best in class Software as a Service (SaaS) solution in the German speaking countries (DACH region). The SaaS is a platform called "Article Galaxy" and saves researchers time searching, ordering & managing the articles they need, hence people at C-level a lot of money. The platform is continuously developed and end of September a gadget environment is being launched exponentially expanding our toolset for researchers, including a reference manger, therefore helping them with their day-to-day research activities.

You'll be part of an enthusiastic global team of sales & product people earning a very good salary. If you're a native speaker, good in value based selling and if you like to help the research industry to spend more time on research vs. admin, reach out to me!

Current and potential customers are typically small & medium enterprises (SMEs) in: biotech, chemistry, medical & pharma. You need to be very interested in science and the work researchers do, live their world, but no need to have a researcher background yourself. You must have a university degree.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Practice Value Based Selling
  • Think & work from a customer perspective
  • Sell into variety of buyers at all levels in an organization: end user, C-level & librarian
  • In the following countries: Germany, Switzerland & Austria
  • Be the eyes & ears for ReprintsDesk to drive prospecting & product development

Candidate profile

  • Essential: Native German speaker with strong German & English verbal and written communication skills
  • Relevant sales experience selling client-focused solutions meeting customer needs (a plus: software to R&D based enterprises)
  • University master degree
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders
  • Be to the point & result driven

Terms & conditions

ReprintsDesk has offices in Los Angeles & Monterrey. You will work remotely, so there are no geographical requirements and you must be comfortable with working from home in a virtual environment.

There will be some travel required for in-person workgroups and company meetings, in addition to customer visits and conference attendance.

The salary indication for this role is max. € 125.000 OTE.
