The organisation

Our client is the global provider of advisory, security, testing and product development services for new and innovative transaction technologies.

To start growing their team in the Netherlands they are looking for a Sales Manager, who will be in charge of the Benelux and Central European region.

The position

As a Sales Manager you are responsible to sell our client’s services and products within the region. You will grow and strengthen our client’s sales activities and local recognition across the Benelux and Central Europe countries for their entire portfolio. You will build your networks with the local Payment (Issuing, Acquiring, Processing) organizations, as well as with the Mobile and Transit operations in the region.

To achieve your targets, you collaborate with the Service Line Managers (in charge of delivery) who provide sales support and handle some clients themselves too.

You combine your knowledge, enthusiasm and ambition to explore the market for new customers and partners as well as strengthening relationships with existing ones. This will enable you to further develop the business perspectives.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the sales’ targets and goals of the Benelux and Central Europe region
  • To visit customers throughout Europe to provide specific expertise and support and close the deal
  • Orchestrate multiple service line sales within the region
  • Act as Thought Leader towards clients
  • Direct business development towards clients, especially clients within our advisory portfolio
  • To lead commercial proposal and contract generation and ensure it bring a strong value-proposition to the clients
  • To work closely with marketing on sales activities and introduce new services/offerings to existing and new customers
  • Work closely with regulators, agents, sales team in the region; represent our client at trade shows, trade association meetings and other events as needed

Candidate profile

  • Degree holder with at least five years’ experience related to Sales’ position, preferably within smart card and/or Security industry
  • Well-connected in the Benelux and Central Europe region, with the local payments and mobile industry stakeholders
  • Excellent in Dutch and English (writing and talking)
  • Self-starter with good listening skills and strong public speaker skills; be able to use leading and probing questions to provide positive feedback
