Mustad has manufacturing and distribution facilities in The Netherlands, Sweden, USA, Brazil, Colombia, Australia, Argentina, Mexico, Turkey and Morocco. The EMEA Leadership team operates from Lelystad, The Netherlands.

The position

Mustad, founded almost 200 years ago, is a global leader in equine hoof care. Originally playing in a traditional industry, the company is adapting to today’s digital environment. The EMEA Marketing Manager will lead this journey and develop and implement Mustad’s multi-region, scalable marketing strategy. This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing expert to be strategic ánd operational, and truly leave a mark on the company’s next-level traditional and digital marketing.

Tasks & responsibilities

The Mustad EMEA Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing its multi-region, scalable, automated marketing strategy. This boils down to managing traditional marketing as well as the complete digitization of the sales & marketing of a highly successful global company in a very traditional industry. Although the digital opportunity is greenfield and has the feel of a start-up, the traditional business is highly successful and thus, capital is available. The role reports directly to the Global Sales, Marketing and Innovation Director.

Within this context, the EMEA Marketing Manager has a strategic ánd operational attitude, on the one hand being smart and understanding the dynamics of the hoof care industry, on the other hand rolling up the sleeves to execute a campaign or experiment. This requires thorough knowledge of both traditional channels as well as website analytics tools, ad serving tools and Google Adwords, and some understanding of web development languages and constraints. In every country where Mustad operates, there are a salesperson, marketing manager and digital marketeer available to support the EMEA Marketing Manager when needed. This means the role involves cooperation with different cultures around the world and the need to unite everyone around one future-proof digital framework.

Candidate profile*

  • University degree in marketing or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing
  • Solid knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing
  • Experience in leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, using web analytics tools, ad serving tools, and google AdWords
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven attitude
