Headhunter
TrFinance for Biscuit International

The organisation

The company markets a wide range of products with a European or local presence, including traditional biscuits and a growing portfolio of products for consumers with specific dietary requirements (organic, low-calorie, sugar-free, gluten-free, milk-free and other categories).

Earlier this year, Platinum Equity acquired the shares in Biscuit International and is supporting the company’s plan to continue expanding its offering and its international reach, both organically and through additional add-on investments, with an objective to reach EUR 1.5 to 2.0 billion sales by 2025.

Biscuit International was created in 2016 by the merger of Groupe Poult and Banketgroep and grew through the acquisitions of A&W Feinbackwaren in Germany in 2017, Northumbrian Fine Foods in the UK, Stroopwafel & Co in the Netherlands, Arluy in Spain in 2018, and most recently (October 2019) Aviateur in the Netherlands

The group of companies is expected to generate cross selling synergies due to strong commercial positions, territorial complementarity, know-how transfer and operational synergies. This should be done by building on each company's corporate culture and local operations as this has been critical to their long-term success.

The position

Biscuit International, one of the major players on the European private labels sweet biscuit market. Headquartered in Paris, Biscuit International employs approximately 1,900 people and generated sales in excess of EUR 500m during 2019, of which approximately two-thirds came from outside France.
