Position

Our client is an independent private Merchant Bank focusing on the mid-market segment in Northwest Europe with a global distribution network. The business model as a Merchant Bank is aimed at offering innovative corporate finance, risk management and structured investment solutions. Its clients are corporates, financial institutions, institutional investors and family offices. The Bank has offices in The Hague, London, Brussels, Frankfurt, New York and Singapore. It is a dynamic environment with high qualified professionals. In the Netherlands NIBC employs around 700 people.

The Bank is organised in the following strategic business units (SBU’s):
Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, Real Estate Markets, Principal Investments (Capital Partners) and Investment Management.

Capital Partners
Capital Partners is active in direct private equity investments, mezzanine and combinations thereof to mid-market companies in Northwest Europe, with a focus on the Benelux and Germany. Capital Partners has built a team of 13 investment professionals with extensive and complementary experience in private equity, banking (M&A, Equity Capital Markets and leveraged finance) strategy consultancy, operations, and accountancy.

The first Merchant Banking Fund IA has invested € 287 million in 2003-2006 in more than 20 transactions. In 2007 a second Merchant Banking Fund IB has been launched with over € 80 million invested. NIBC Capital Partners currently manages the Fund IA and IB.

Mezzanine Fund
Capital Partners would like to expand its activities with the launch of a Mezzanine Fund. We are looking for a team of 4 to run the Fund. A key Investment Manager (Director) will be responsible for the Fund and build up a position. Furthermore, the team will consist of 2 senior Investment Professionals and a Junior Investment Professional.

Professional Qualifications

Relevant working experience, with a proven track record in investment banking, in particular in mezzanine. Background in corporate finance/leveraged finance and/or strategy consultancy.
