The organisation
Our client is a medium sized (TO appr. €300 mln) international listed company headquartered in The Netherlands and offices around the world.

The position
 
Our client is searching for a Business Finance Director of their largest Business Unit, a position located at their headquarter in the Randstad, The Netherlands. This BU is in distress by declining turnover and a changing market and for that reason this position, as part of the MT, is of great importance additional to its regular Business Control activities.
 
Tasks & responsibilities 
 
  • active member of the BU MT, reporting hierarchic within the financial hierarchy to the Director Control and functional to the BU Director,
  • managing a team of 5 business analysts,
  • managing the P&C cycle (periodic business reviews, annual budget, periodic estimates, etc.),
  • emphasis of further development of the management information process,
  • analysing and discussing financial performances within BU MT and Board of Directors,
  • advising/ discussing with BU MT and Board of directors on the financial/ economic impact of strategic decisions,
  • linking business, financial and external information into strategic advice,
  • supporting corporate projects such as implementation of risk control framework,
  • contributing to continuous process improvements,
  • solving complex issues/ problems from the business and business-case analysis,
  • regular travelling.
  • The biggest challenge of this role is the fast changing international environment which this Company/ Business Unit is part of. In a personal meeting more information will be given of this part of the role.
Candidate profile
 
To be successfull in this position and within this company you need to have an University degree, preferably a postacademic qualification (e.g. RC or RA with BC experience) and fluent in Dutch and English. You have at least 10 years of relevant experience (P&L responsibility, MT member) within an international fast changing preferably midsized organisation. Very important in this role is proven analytical skills and proven ability of developing management information. You are critical, able to stand-up in a strong commercial environment, flexible, hands-on and above all you have strong communication skills.
