Location

  • syncreon operates 30+ sites across the EMEA regions, this function will support all Technology sites (approx 15 sites) and look to grow the EMEA footprint in all markets
  • The successful candidate will support Clients across the sites and the regions
  • Preferred location UK (Hinkley / Lutterworth), The Netherlands (Waalwijk / Tilburg) or Germany (Duisburg) but open for other options.

The position

Due to continuing growth plans, syncreon is recruiting a VP Business Development (Technology EMEA). In this role you will focus on the EMEA regions within our Technology segment. As a VP Business Development you report to the COO Technology Europe and the EVP Business Development Technology. You will be in a key Management position in a dynamic growing multinational organization. The position requires of you the ability to work closely with the various functions (Engineering, Operations, IT, Finance) across the organization and across the regions. 

You will lead, manage, support and develop a growing team of 12 Senior Business Development and Account Management dedicated individuals located across EMEA from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures. It will be your responsibility to grow the syncreon business in Europe by winning new business and enhancing the relationship with current customers. 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Define a business development strategy based on market information to determine where to acquire new business
  • Introduce potential new clients to the range of services offered by syncreon
  • Develop and deepen relationships with existing customers and Keep an up to date pipeline of current and future bids
  • Execute must win methodology and address our competitive position
  • Increase brand awareness
  • Diversification of service offering
  • Provide specific characteristics that would augment our portfolio
  • Implement a strategic A/C management program for Technology in Europe
  • Ensure full co-ordination internally and ensure all new business wins and submitted bids are as per internal financial rules

Candidate profile

  • A minimum of 15 years working experience as a Business Development Leader with a proven track record in a Supply Chain environment;
  • MBA background or equivalent (in Engineering or Operations would be an advantage)
  • Thorough knowledge of the technology industry and its customers
  • Highly customer focused: intuitive, flexible and responsive to customer needs
  • Strategic thinking: Formulates strategies and approaches and aligns resources and priorities
  • Proven leadership skills: guide, challenge and engage your team
  • Our core behaviors: Innovative Thinking, Candor, Simplicity, Empathy & Speed
  • Fluent in English as a minimum. Other languages are a distinct plus
  • Willingness to travel.
