Our client is an international leading service provider in the logistic industry. They are specialized in industrial container transportation for several industries including automotive, food & beverage, chemistry, FMCG, commodities and so on.

Several thousand employees ensure the transportation and delivery of millions of carrier loads on a daily basis for over 300.000 clients. As part of the constant expansion we are looking for a Global Key Account Director Automotive.

The position

• The Global Key Account Director will be responsible for supporting margin improvement, creating opportunities for growth and developing an ever closer relationship between the company and Tier 1/OEM Automotive customers.
• Dynamically lead and manage the key global accounts acting as the central liason/connection point with a Tier 1/OEM to ultimately grow the account, protect existing revenue and maximise customer satisfaction and revenue
• Build a network of relationships with stakeholders at all levels within customer relationship to deliver value closely nurturing relationships, listening and acting on customer feedback
• Identify opportunities for cost control, contract growth and new business through extensive analysis of supply chain opportunities, acting as a true supply chain change agent
• Better define the customer value proposition whilst managing competitor threats in the OEM/Tier 1 global relationships
• Provide direction, co-ordination and focus to the regional business teams, accelerating the sharing of best practices and rollout of truly global solutions aligned to the customer base marshalling the internal resources appropriately

Candidate profile

• University degree required. A business or commercially focused discipline would be desirable as would a postgraduate degree.
• Automotive and supply chain knowledge would be diserable
• A minimum of 8 years'' experience in automotive
• Project management/LEAN experience
• Working across a matrix organisation and building ownership & accountability within complex global teams
• Supply chain understanding
• Automotive industry contacts/established relationships
• Proven track record of exceptional customer relationship management involving
