The position

The business unit Oil & Gas is looking for a business unit director. He or she wil be responsible for the business unit’s customer footprint and growth within the EMEA region. The focus of this role is on (new) business development and sales of the organization's software in the oil & gas supply chain market. 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • The profitability of the Oil & Gas business unit in the region 
  • (New) business development, executing the Sales strategy and translation to operational action within the oil & gas supply chain market;
  • Initiate, manage and guide complex sales cycles, together with Sales Executive team members and on your own;
  • Act as a visionary but with a hands-on mentality within the oil & gas supply chain market;
  • Act as a trusted adviser for prospects and customers, and your Sales team;
  • Responsible for achieving the sales target of the Oil & Gas business unit;
  • Maximize existing and create new client business relationships and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction;
  • Lead and close negotiations of large deals with all levels inclusive of upper management;
  • Lead, motivate and inspire the sales team to achieve success Lead negotiations and close deals at the highest possible level in the enterprise.

Candidate profile

  • A bachelor or master’s degree in business or engineering ;
  • Strong experience with enterprise software sales, as well as the supply chain market;
  • Experience in LNG, O&G and petrochemical markets, and eager to expand global presence in those markets;
  • The ability to convince customers of the merits of our software;
  • A strategic mind-set and a visionary in the supply chain market;
  • Experience in managing a team of (Senior) Sales Executives;
  • Fluent English speaking and writing skills ;
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to develop and manage relations at C-level;
  • A successful track record in business development and complex sales cycles .
