Our client is a leading global supplier of high-quality products to a range of industries and has successfully grown both organically and through acquisition to become a world leader. The key customers are in the electrical, automotive and appliance industries. For our national German and our international business we are searching for a Market Development Manager with strong sales skills.

Position

  • Establish a sales and marketing strategy in Europe
  • Assess, evaluate and establish major new market and client opportunities
  • In this role you report to the Managing Director
  • You will be contracted via the Northern German headquarter, the flexibility of working in a home-based solution will be given


Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Identify European market / client opportunities for OEM-clients, main focus on Oil & Gas industry, Automotive, Aviation and other heavy industries
  • Manage above by applying the whole process - from initialization to commercialization
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage market research projects within budget and deadlines
  • Select and manage relationships with external clients and/or sales - channel partners
  • Forecast new product sales until full commercialization, responsible for New Product pipeline

Profil

  • Master/Bachelor Technical Degree with extensive business exposure
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in managing new product / sales development within the polymer industry
  • Experiences and ideas around fiberglass and polyester industry
  • Capability to manage new product processes from idea generation to commercialization
  • Experience in selecting suitably sales - channel partners in B2B
  • Strong entrepreneur-spirit, self starter
  • Experience in developing unique selling propositions for different - displacing more traditional material solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English and at least another European language, preferably German; French or Spanish is a plus
  • Willingness to travel frequently
