Vice President Product Management Online Interactive Education (OIE)

Job profile

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer as a core member of the leadership team, the forward thinking professional we seek will lead collaboratively across the organization in order to support new and existing degree programs to meet both the business and customers' needs. In this role, you will be responsible for playing a key leadership role in managing a P&L, hitting profitability goals for existing products, launching new products/initiatives, developing business cases, managing stakeholder relationships, analyzing the pros and cons of business decisions, summarizing the value proposition to key stakeholders and establishing metrics for success.  As a key driver and contributor in developing objectives and strategies, you will provide business planning and management across OIE brands to deliver results, drive future international growth and global brand recognition. 

Job description

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Managing the relationship with University of Liverpool – set strategic direction and partnership development agenda, provide update on performance, act as escalation path for operational issues 
  • Optimizing growth and profitability of multiple product verticals (Management, Health, IT, Law)  
  • Identifying, recommending, and developing plans for potential market opportunities for the brand
  • Researching and interpreting business and audience trends; translating these trends into successful programs and pricing strategies
  • Overseeing business leadership for all programs 
  • Collaborating closely with Sales and Marketing organizations to drive inquiries, conversions, and enrollments
  • Collaborating closely with Product Development to drive product/program quality and overall student experience
  • Proactively manage multiple and varied stakeholder relationships (internal and external)
  • Managing program specific operations to ensure wellness of the current portfolio of products. 
  • Working collaboratively with functional area colleagues on implementing product strategy and launching new products
  • Solving issues on projects in cooperation and collaboration with other divisions

Candidate profile

The qualified candidate must possess an MBA, a minimum of 8-10 years of general management or product management experience, demonstrated ability to successfully manage a global workforce, and prior P&L experience with budget management experience.

To be successful in this role, you must have proven success as a decision-maker in a collaborative, highly matrixed environment with multiple direct and indirect reporting structures throughout the organization.

Stakeholder collaboration experience with the ability to quickly develop and manage both internal and external relationships across cultural and geographical boundaries as well as the ability to use a collaborative model to leverage resources effectively is essential. 

Prior marketing experience and an in-depth understanding of the higher education industry in order to provide educated recommendations to management on direction, profitability, and ROI for new and existing programs is highly preferred. 

Location

This position is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands and will require 20% international travel.
