Senior Director Supply Chain Analytics

The organisation

Our client is one of the most specialized companies for supply chain management for food companies worldwide. Serving their customer worldwide we are looking for for a senior director supply chain analytics either for Düsseldorf or London.

The position

• Establish and lead pilot project to demonstrate the benefits of a supplier planning process using a single view of demand across the network. Work effectively with global Analytics team (based in U.S.) to leverage business and technical leadership and expertise.
• Serve as relationship manager with our customers Category leadership and suppliers, and collaboration with our Distributor on this initiative.
• Explain and demonstrate the use of supplier planning outputs and analytics outputs; translate this information into business insights.
• Develop the "European" business process approach based upon pilot participant feedback addressing unique challenges in the European supply chain while maintaining close alignment with processes established in the U.S. and Japan.
• Develop the necessary category knowledge to see opportunities in the companies planning and analytics processes.
• Build the European business case for supplier planning & analytics services.
• Develop the necessary team to manage the pilot and ramp up across Europe. Hire the right talent and align the organization for optimal planning and analytics production and support.
• Work with affiliates to enhance current processes with supply chain data management while evaluating whether there is a long term alternative.
• Work collaboratively with affiliates in Europe and global Analytics and Supply Chain to continue to optimize efficient Assured Supply / one view of demand approach for Europe based on global best practices.

Candidate profile

• Masters degree in business administration or engineering.
• At least 10 years of work experience with leadership roles in areas such as Supply Chain inventory planning, Supply Chain Analytics or Industrial Engineering.
• Knowledge in Supply Chain, planning and procurement activities and utilization of related IT tools.
• Able to plan & organize, communicate and share information, mobilize resources, build strong work relationships.
• Demonstrated strong ability to manage relationships.
• Consulting background is a benefit.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Project management, leadership & planning capabilities.
• Excellent English skills.
