Our client is one of the worldwide leading producers of deep drilling systems. The facilities are globally used in development of new gas and oil resources. State of the art technology combined with the cross-generational experience guarantees maximum drilling capacity and satisfied customers around the globe.

Due to increasing development costs and efforts for natural resources, it is inevitable to use the existing resources in the most efficient way. Thus, our client is offering a broad and interlocking range of products in order to meet the requirements. In the course of the corporate development we are searching for an experienced Managing Director with a technical background. Ideally the candidate should have multiple years of experience in a similar area and know the market inside out.

The position

• Leading the strategic and operative operations of the company with a special focus in product development as well as expanding the global sales infrastructure
• Following the short- and long term corporate objectives in order to assure the ability to act
• Effective leadership of the diverse work force: build the culture of the organisation / motivate staff / resolve disputes
• In order to optimize the performance (rate of return) of the company you will conduct a variance analysis and implement necessary actions
• Focus on expanding and optimizing the existing sales structure in order to increase the turnover and level of awareness among the customers
• Acquiring new clients and supporting existing key clients
• Knowing the market and competitive context inside out you are able to make recommendations and implement them as well

Candidate profile

• A proven track record in understanding the market within a comparable role
• Open for new challenges
• Strong academic record with a technical and/or business background
• International work experience and network
• Ideally he/she has experience in a leading and developing a company
• Ability to analyze and interpret the global market development
• Willingness to travel around the globe and excellent intercultural competencies
• Excellent English (spoken and written) another language (e.g. german) would be an advantage
