The organisation

Océ-Technologies B.V. employs approximately 2,200 specialists in Venlo, The Netherlands, and develops technologies, product concepts and software. Key activities include research and development (R&D); manufacturing and logistics (M&L); support and corporate departments. Venlo is one of the innovation and technology centers on three continents within the Production Printing Products Operations of Canon, a leader in professional and consumer imaging.

The position

Leading a brand new department ‘Talent & Performance Management’ within our global HR organization, you are challenged to design, lead and deliver global initiatives to accelerate and strengthen the Talent pipelines and the strategic future of the organization, partnering with HR and the business.

You further extend and manage the (current) Talent Management activities worldwide by defining and developing the global Talent strategy aimed at identifying, attracting and retaining (future) Talent successfully, both internally as externally. A focal point is exchanging Océ knowledge and talents to different Canon organizations worldwide accelerating the overall business.

Thereby you develop a Talent Brand enabling us to attract and retain talent for the (near) future in an effective and distinctive way. You translate the strategy and brand propositions into Talent (Development) Programs, Talent Pipelines & Communities and innovative tooling. The Recruitment Operations is (partly) involved in the operational execution of the strategy and propositions, and therefore you are responsible for and managing this team as well. 

Also an annual Employee Engagement survey and following actions are part of your responsibility.

Next to this you make sure Performance Management processes and methods are improved and aligned by designing and rolling-out a global Performance Management System. You integrate and harmonize best practices throughout the global organization, organizing and strengthening succession management at the same time.

This position is pre-dominantly based in Venlo, the Netherlands. You work across the different sites of Océ located in eight countries worldwide (Netherlands, Germany, Canada, Singapore, Belgium, France, Romania and Hungary).

Context of the position

Recently HR has built a new structure and operating models creating a global HR function. Within the HR organization Talent & Performance Management is one of the HR Expert Centers supporting HR Operations and the business worldwide by offering high end solutions, expertise and services. Other Expert Centers within the HR organization are Learning & Leadership and Compensation & Benefits. 

In this role you lead a small team of professionals (HR Generalists & Recruitment Specialists), and report to the Senior Vice-President HR & Communications.

Candidate profile

  • You hold a Master degree, preferably in Human Resource Management or comparable
  • You have a minimum of 15 years working experience and 5-7 years proven experience in talent management, management development, change management and organization development. Managerial experience is required for this role
  • Proven ability in drive a change agenda forward, and proven project management skills
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and inspire audience and senior management. Need to be able to deal with deadlines, multiple priorities and stakeholder management
  • Strong conceptual and presentation skills, excellent interpersonal skills. Keen eye for processes and presentation, strong in translating high level strategies and plans to operational execution
  • You are positive, high paced, energetic, structured, determined, and a team player
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, as well as knowledge of Dutch or German language
  • Willing to travel one or two times per month (on average) to the other Océ sites
