The Benelux team is composed of over 130 people and generates a significant revenue which should continue grow double digit. The Benelux Organization holds a very strong position in the market of Telecommunication, Retail Industry and Financial. The Benelux Organization is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands and is a very ambitious team that is eager to set forward its double digit growth.

To further expand their footprint, we are looking for qualified candidates in the Netherlands and Belgium for the position of Engagement Manager Benelux.

The position

The Engagement Manager (EM) has responsibility for Consulting Services orders, revenue, profit, engagement planning, engagement staffing, engagement execution, engagement quality and client satisfaction. The EM is a key member of the Benelux Account teams.

Working with the sales director, account directors and solution architects, the EM is accountable for the management and growth of client relationships through effective engagement delivery.  The EM is either vertically aligned with one or more industries or geographically aligned. The role is involved in both pre and post sales activity and reports into the Benelux Consulting Director.

A broad understanding of the company’s products, service offers and client’s business opportunities is required for this role. He or she is also able to develop proposals that are compelling from both a commercial and technology perspective. The EM has responsibility for relationships relevant to Consulting Services at clients, partners and prospects.

The role ensures that the Company’s services enable the delivery of business value, are technically innovative, ensure improved ROI and identify additional uses for the client’s investment in the Company’s data warehouse, solutions, and services.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Work within sales teams and with sales directors to generate new profitable business: articulate and scope the Company’s professional service while considering related product sales
  • Provide scoping, planning, cost estimating, and pricing of Consulting Services engagements in conjunction with the Consulting Director. Responsible for and work with project managers to develop statement of works and risk assessment, including but not limited to defining goals and objectives, identifying client requirements, resource requirements, budget, risks and the translation of the client’s business requirements into specific deliverables.
  • Gather and document client requirements and translate these into compelling service offers and preparation of legal and commercial documentation and support commercial negotiations in relation to services
  • Work with Partners, Resource Managers, and Managing Partners to staff projects appropriately and to ensure consultants have required training and internal support to meet customer needs throughout the duration of the engagement
  • Delivery assurance post-sales. Where service delivery is not satisfactory, the Engagement Manager will advise and support the delivery team on how to address the shortcomings
  • Actively participate in the proposal design, implementation, and roll-out efforts

Candidate profile

  • Understanding of large scale BI and Data Warehouse delivery programs
  • Broad technical expertise combined with business acumen
  • Sound understanding of data warehouse architecture, methodologies, applications,  solutions, and technologies
  • In depth industry experience from one or more industries
  • Understanding of the client’s business domain e.g. CRM process, supply chain
