To remain the market leader in The Netherlands and broader in the Benelux, and to strengthen their omnichannel success, Body&Fit is in the beginning phases of a brand repositioning. The new Brand Director will play a pivotal role in the successful renewal and growth of the brand.
The position
Body&Fit, a market leader and highly recognized brand in sports nutrition and lifestyle in The Netherlands and the Benelux, is poised for its next leap of growth. The new Brand Director will lead the strategic development and omni-channel rollout of their renewed brand positioning, playing a pivotal role in the company’s future growth.
Tasks & responsibilities
The new Brand Director will be responsible for developing the brand strategy, building and managing brand guidelines, and maintaining consistency across all brand touchpoints, assets, and campaigns. She/He will lead a team of around 10 people, poised for growth toward the future, and will help improve the quality, knowledge, and performance of the team. The focus here will be mostly and firstly on developing brand marketing capabilities in the team.
For the first six to twelve months, the main challenge lies in three areas. Firstly, the new Brand Director will be tasked with leading and finalizing the renewal of the brand and its positioning. Secondly, they will ensure the omni-channel building and loading of the brand, making sure the already very high brand awareness is coupled with a very clear and highly resonating brand personality, mission, and values for the chosen target audience.
Next to this, thirdly, the Brand Director will play an important role in making sure that omnichannel marketing and sales strategies are aligned successfully with the omnichannel brand strategy, ensuring a continued, growing, and more balanced flow of sales. This role will also require someone with an understanding of portfolio management and innovation, keeping in mind that all product innovations need to always be aligned with what the brand stands for.
The Brand Director will find themselves in an organization that is shifting towards a further integration in a broader international one. This means they will work in a matrix structure, with a dotted line to the international VP of Marketing. Next to a solid foundation in marketing theory and a proven track record in building and managing D2C and/or Retail brands, they will also need to have a strong personality and good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Candidate profile*
- Solid Foundation in Marketing
- Over 10 years of experience
- In Brand Strategy and Management
- Within Direct-to-Consumer and/or Retail
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Strong Stakeholder Management and Communication skills
